A motivated and passionate Manager is required for this small Children's Home. This challenging but rewarding role offers the ideal candidate a chance to work for a very committed care provider who prides themselves on their high standards of quality care. This role will primarily be one that is supportive in overcoming emotional barriers and creating a stable, caring environment that resembles as closely as possible a natural family setting. There will be a 9-5 Monday to Friday shift pattern, but there may be occasions when the service will require some flexibility to provide support.

Minimum qualifications considered are; Diploma in Social Work, or HNC in Children and Young People with SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) and a management qualification. You will be required to register with the SSSC and achieve the SSSC registration qualifications for the Manager of Residential Child Care Service part of the register. You will require to be a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced Child Care Manager who is able to maintain a competent, motivated and positive staff team and qualified to offer leadership, managerial direction, guidance and support to staff at all levels. He or she will also be responsible for ensuring that budgets are managed effectively and that the use of finances is properly monitored.

- Safeguard and promote the best interests of the young people
- Develop the staff team
- Ensure that standards in the house are of the highest quality
- Build positive key external and internal relationships
- Ensure that the service policies and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure a safe and supportive home environment
- Be the responsible person for managing child protection concerns and complaints
- Properly utilise current systems in place for the efficient administration of the Home
- Ensure that the fabric of the Home, equipment, appliances and grounds are maintained to the highest order in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, School, Health and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for young people.
- Actively promote the Home's equal opportunity and anti discriminatory practice and policies.
