Position: Home Manager

Home: Albert Edward Prince of Wales

Location: Porthcawl, Mid Glamorgan

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (D.O.E) – plus benefits

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Home Manager with clinical experience, to join us at Albert Edward Prince of Wales Court, our 72 bedded Care Home, nestled amongst 7 acres of landscaped gardens in the seaside town of Porthcawl.

As an RMBI Home Manager you will lead and manage a team of professional staff in the delivery of person centred care services for our residents. You’ll make the most of our resources and build on our reputation for quality, ensuring the Home is fully compliant in all areas including care; health and safety; staffing and regulatory requirements.

You will have proven care home management experience and be knowledgeable about all current care matters. You will be a natural leader with excellent empathetic and interpersonal skills in order to develop strong relations with residents, relatives, staff and volunteers. You must also be highly organised with the ability to plan and manage budgets and possess an aptitude for problem solving.

The successful candidate must have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience of successfully managing a Care Home of comparable size
  • NVQ4 and relevant management qualification
  • A strong understanding of person centred, care service delivery
  • Effective communication skills, with a confident and influential leadership style.
