Assistant Finance Analyst

Our client currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Analyst to join them in their Taunton office. This involves working with large sets of complex data and various internal systems. The successful candidate will bring similar experiences and recommendations for improvements, experience working with projects and/or implementing a new system would be of benefit. Skills Excellent analytical skillsGood system skills (in particular Excel, Access)Organised and forward thinking work styleAbility to work under pressure and to effectively manage conflicting and changing prioritiesAbility to work in a fast-paced changing environmentProactive approach to finding solutionsConfident taking ownership of work area Experience & Qualifications You will be a part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA)Experience producing monthly P&Ls, plans, forecasting and other ad hoc analysisYou must have worked in a previous finance role and have a good grasp of how a finance department operatesRetail experience would be preferred but not essentialExperience working in a multi-site finance division would be an advantageThe role will involve monthly travel to our London officeAdvanced Excel skills are a must e.g. competent in writing and understanding formulaeUse of mainframe general ledger system (ideally CODA) is preferredExperience of SPSS Data Modeler would be an advantage
