Job Purpose:
To ensure the pets welfare is put first at all times and to provide a first class service to the pets while the customers are at work or on holiday and to have total respect to the customers and to their property. Typically working between the hours of 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working.
Pet Day Care Specialist Job Duties:
- Exercise dogs and ensure their welfare is put first.
- Feed cats and small animals
- Ensures the service provided meets or exceeds the information gathered in the customer agreement form.
- Ensures pets water bowls are refreshed on every visit and where requested the correct feed given as per the agreement.
- Ensure a daily log form is completed informing customers of their pets day.
- Ensure Vet agreement forms are carried within the vehicle at all times.
- Ensure a first aid kit is carried on your person at all times and where required call immediate vet back up for advice or take to the veterinary practice as soon as possible, keeping the client updated on events.
- Secures client data information and maintains owner confidence by keeping client information confidential.
- Ensure customer keys are kept secure and have no address details attached to them that would link them back to the client’s property and are placed back in the key cupboard at the end of each day.
- Ensures footwear is removed or shoe covers applied when entering customer properties.
- Ensures that all customer payments are receipted and recorded accurately.
- Complete in a timely manner customer appointments and inform your Team Manager immediately should a problem arise.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and ensures 12 hours CPD is completed annually and accurately recorded.
- Complies with NARP Terms and Conditions.
- Develops a portfolio for display to customers which includes, Police check details, relevant qualifications and customer feedback reports.
- Enhances the business reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Undertakes other duties in the interest of the business as deemed appropriate by the management.
