Building Surveyor - Senior Building Surveyor
To 65k + Benefits + ongoing career development
Our valued client is an independent building and project consultancy advising commercial property owners, funders, occupiers and advisers on the whole life-cycle of property assets. They are experts in all aspects of building surveying, project management, cost consultancy, construction technology, sustainability and environmental services. They deliver a director led service focused on technical expertise, commercial business acumen and a proactive approach to service delivery.
They work in commercial property within the office, industrial, retail, healthcare or leisure sectors. They work on residential properties on a commercial scale or where they form part of a mixed use development.
Your day-to day responsibilities:
Provide sound and reasoned technical and professional advice to clients or internal stakeholders relating to the Building Surveying scope of services, which will include:
o Design and specification
o Contract administration
o Party wall matters
o Dilapidations
o Technical due diligence (TDD) and surveys, including for pre-acquisition, stock condition, validation and building defect/pathology purposes
Take responsibility for the delivery of projects (generally ranging from GBP100K - GBP2M) and professional assignments and/or support the senior colleagues in the delivery of larger projects / assignments.
Assist with the development of Building Surveying services, responding to market opportunities.
What you have to offer:
MRICS qualified/part qualified, with at least 1years PQE
Good communication skills with a pro-active approach and 'can do' attitude.
A detailed and thorough knowledge of both traditional and modern building construction technology and techniques.

Experience of property refurbishment and maintenance.
Experience of controlling quality on projects.

Experience in 'professional' Building Surveying work streams, e.g. dilapidations, party wall consultancy, TDD, surveys etc.
