Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrically Biased)
Location: Warmsworth
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Hours of Work: 41.25 Hours per Week (3 Shifts)
SUMMARY:
Maintain and repair all equipment on site including plant and machinery. Make sure that it is operating at great standard with specification and standards. Carry out duties such as
* breakdown repair
* plant maintenance
* inspection
* Verification
* administration.
* To make continuous improvement as a way of life rather than an initiative.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Carrying out breakdown diagnostics / Fault finding, repairs and corrective maintenance.
* Carrying out maintenance checks and remedial repairs as defined by the PPM systems.
* Making sure engineering stores levels are maintained
* To ensure that the production plan is achieved
* Work closely with production to evaluate problems, implementing remedial solutions.
* To assist in the delivery of projects complete and on time
* To perform clerical and housekeeping duties as needed
* Ensure strict compliance with the company Health & Safety procedures
* To promote a safe working environment for all
* Take action to prevent potential accidents
THE PERSON:

* Ability to liaise confidently and professionally
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
* Routine manual handling techniques to be applied and performance of routine clerical tasks.
* Utilization of Permit to Work, Risk assessment & COSHH information/procedures
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
* Work is normally performed in a typical shop floor work environment.
* Physical effort required the ability to lift items of 12 Kg's.
* No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
* PROVIDES TRAINING REQUIRED TO ENSURE EMPLOYEE SAFETY
Person Specification
* Knowledge of Manual handling
* Ability to understand and follow specific drawings, instructions and procedures
* Ability to diagnose faults on fixed wiring, PLC and drive systems
* Ability to diagnose equipment abnormalities
* Ability to diagnose faults on hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
* Basic cross training on mechanical/electrical systems
* Flexibility to work shift patterns
* Time served engineer with mechanical and electrical experience. C&G standards or suitably experienced equivalent
