CDM Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing company based in County Durham. Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting for an experienced Test Engineer.
The primary function of the Test Engineer is to support and develop new test equipment to ensure that products meet performance specifications and to develop the Test process to improve overall Test coverage
Role and Responsibilities
• Support and develop test equipment when required
• Review test equipment performance and provide process improvements, ensuring that all test equipment meets with quality and safety standards
• Support directly/indirectly software/PLC development around specific test equipment
• Liaise with internal quality function and design centres to improve product test coverage
• Specify and maintain calibration standards and procedures and maintain all relevant records and documentation
• Provide appropriate training for operators and technicians in the safe use and maintenance of test equipment
• Provide technical support to fellow team members and Maintenance Technicians
What do you need?
• Minimum of HNC/HND standard
• Electronics discipline preferred
• Software development with knowledge of C++, VB and LabView
• PLC Knowledge desirable
