Field Service Engineer - Overseas
* GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 + GBP40,000 OTE inc o/time, bonus and daily overseas allowance
* Pension 5% employee and 7.5% employer + 24 days' holiday + 8 Bank holidays
* Company van with tools provided - both personal and work use
* Based within 1.5 hours commute of Peterborough
* Ideal locations: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Lincolnshire (South), Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire
* Office based when not abroad - 50% of your time spent overseas - Worldwide apart from the USA
ATA are currently working with a world- class manufacturer that has over 30 years' experience in the manufacture of special purpose machinery. The company will design, assemble, build and ship a wide and varied range of equipment used mainly within the engineering sector.
The UK business generates GBP12m in annual sales with over 50 UK staff. They have a worldwide presence and are considered a market leader within their field. Because of continued growth and further investment, they are now looking to recruit an Overseas Field Service Engineer to join the team.
Overseas Field Service Engineer:
* Responsible for all service, commissioning, maintenance and breakdown of all equipment.
* This will be both reactive, PPM and responding to breakdowns.
* Visiting customer sites around the world and in some cases the UK. Each commissioning can take up to 2 weeks therefore, you will spend on average 2 weeks per month overseas.
* When not on site you will spend time in the UK office in Peterborough writing reports, providing technical support, testing equipment prior to despatch and administration such as expenses.
* Regular contact with customers to update on planned service or commissioning schedules as well as requirements for when on site.
* Follow up on submitted reports / accepted protocols to ensure all actions are understood and completed.
* Fault find, repair and commission mechanical & electrical systems and fault finding I/O schedules.
* Read PLC codes and to make modifications when required - training provided.
* SAT - site acceptance test and to liaise with the customer throughout the process. Sign off SAT documentation and customer training.
* Provide an inspection report of the machines and outline any advisories on your report.
The successful candidate will have the following essential knowledge and attributes:
* C&G / HNC / HND in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
* Service, Commissioning or Maintenance background, ideally multiskilled.
* The ideal candidate will have a working experience with either special purpose machinery / heavy industry, water, process background including cranes (not forklift trucks).
* You must understand or have a working experience of 3 phase.
* Willing to spend 2 weeks per month overseas on commissioning / service.
