Mechanical Field Service Engineers x2 South Wales Powys
GBP25k - cGBP30k neg dep exp + expenses + vehicle + generous benefits + bonus + overtime
Our client has been established for almost half a century and specialise in the design, development and installation of a range of bespoke and modular automation and materials handling solutions for supply to food, pharmaceutical, distribution, recycling and baggage handling customers across the globe. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit experienced and highly self-motivated mechanical Field Service Engineers x2 to complement their established and successful team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful mechanical field service engineers x2 will essentially demonstrate previous experience in materials handling systems installation, commissioning and service throughout the UK.
You will undertake a range of equipment preparation, installation and service duties incorporating mechanical engineering work and conduct both planned preventative and reactive service visits to maintain equipment on client sites as directed.
Other duties will include conducting testing of equipment prior to despatch and following equipment through to installation and commissioning stages at client sites across the UK, so a full clean driving licence, flexible approach and the ability to stay away overnight are essential for the roles.
Working in accordance with agreed schedule and client requirements, you will also assist with awareness training of client staff where appropriate and carry out final fit-out and testing of new equipment, including mechanical and basic electrical connection before delivery.
Acting as the primary point of contact with client personnel, you will also conduct regular client site visits to establish maintenance requirements and equipment schedules for the future.
To be considered for these varied and challenging mechanical field service engineers x2 positions it is essential that you have a minimum of C&G Level 3 in mechanical engineering and have completed a recognised apprenticeship with an aptitude and willingness to undertake basic electrical work when required. Consideration will be given to applicants with a proven track record in a similar field service engineers role, but previous experience of working in a mechanical maintenance role within the materials handling is essential from environments such as warehouse, food & drink manufacturing and pharmaceutical, with knowledge of conveyors, rollers chain systems, shafts and bearings proving distinctly advantageous.
