Principal Teachers are seeking to recruit a Girls' PE Teacher on behalf of a secondary school in the Knaresborough area. The Head Teacher wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Physical Education to deliver an engaging curriculum to KS3 girls. The successful applicant will need to motivate girls in Years 7 and 8 to achieve in PE and instil a love of sports. The position is available on a full time basis starting after the May half term on an on going basis.

This Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school is based in a rural area of Knaresborough. The successful applicant will be welcomed into a thriving and vibrant PE department where you will have access to a wealth of resources. The school is recognised for its excellent sports facilities and its commitment to providing extra curricular activities. You will need to demonstrate your ability to cater to the needs of a wide range of abilities and manage behaviour to a high standard. Applications are welcome from NQTs, RQTs and experienced teachers.

The successful applicant will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK
Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for PE
Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
A commitment to improving attainment for all students
A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
