Factory Assistant
CPI is the leading book manufacturer in Europe, employing around 3000 employees of which about 1,000 are employed across eight locations within the UK. CPI Trade Books a division of the CPI UK group employs up to 400 employees within the Chatham and Croydon sites; manufacturing hardbacks and paperbacks in all formats, from print-on-demand through to long run best sellers.
Due to the continued growth of Europe's largest book manufacturer, CPI, we are looking for additional Assistants to assist the Machine Operators to work within this high quality and high output organisation.
Experience in machine operating within a manufacturing environment or experience within print finishing is desirable.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal skills together with the ability to communicate at all levels within the factory and to work well within a team environment.
Accuracy and attention to detail is also a very important requirement for this position.
In addition, you must be willing to be fully flexible to meet the business demands and our Customers' requirements.
The hours of working are: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 1:30pm, 1:30pm - 9:00pm on rotating weeks.
You may be required to work outside of these hours when necessary, especially in busy periods
