My client is a leading well established manufacturer within FMCG. Due to recent successes, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Manager to join the business.
Role/Responsibility:
As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the bakery plant, equipment and facilities. You will be required to lead a team of Maintenance Engineers and utilise Lean Manufacturing and TPM principles to maximise efficiency. You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
* Supporting the Engineering and Site Teams to achieve manufacturing excellence
* Involvement within site improvement activities and support Lean Manufacturing rollout
* Manage the Engineering budget and ensure Engineering and Maintenance plans are aligned with national manufacturing strategies
* Manage engineering risks and environmental impacts of the operations
* Manage the daily operation through identifying the root cause of problems, develop solutions and undertake required planned and preventative maintenance.
* Monitor the budget and assist with the formulation of revenue and capital budgets and plans.
* Manage the team of engineers/electricians on a daily basis, motivating and delegating work to ensure daily targets are achieved and that work is carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with application of all health, safety and quality requirements,
* Identify and manage the execution of site-based projects
Skills/Qualifications:
* Qualified to chartered engineer or equivalent with a proven track record in senior management within a FMCG / food manufacturing company
* Minimum 3 years Engineering Management Experience in a food or FMCG Business
* HNC within an Engineering Discipline
* Previous experience of PPM or similar
* Experience of leading and coaching Engineering Technicians
