The Role:

They are looking for an experienced NPI Engineer to join their team! You will manage and oversee the introduction through to production of circulating coin, commemorative coin and medal products.

You will own the management of technical and process development of new products, ensuring that customer requirements are achieved; through involvement from contract/tender review through to initial bulk production.

Main responsibilities in this role include:

- Create and maintain project plans for the on time delivery of products through the development, testing and hand over
- Collect data at each process stage that will be used to generate a 'product document' for operations during the product handover stage
- Highlight new process improvements where appropriate during the development phase that will aid operations during full production
- Provide technical support and project management to all internal production departments, sales and marketing and also direct customer liaison where applicable
- Deliver Process Control Instruction (PCI) and Product Prototype Request (PPR) processes to the required delivery date
- Ensure that quality and service standards are maintained at the highest level, in line with customers' demands
- Actively lead and promote the principles of continuous improvement and team working
- Ensure that the area and the functions performed within the area are operated in a safe manner in compliance with current legislative requirements
- Undertake strategic projects and developments as required as part of the department's goals and objectives laid out in the strategy deployment process

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required to apply:
- HNC or equivalent in an engineering or science biased discipline
- Project management experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills coupled with an ability to present information clearly and concisely
- Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and problem solving to root cause
- Microsoft Dynamics AX would be advantageous
