We have part-time opportunities for male Support Workers in Derby, shifts include mornings, days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. This particular post is a genuine Occupational Requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010; Schedule 9; Part 1. A full UK driving licence is required.

Welcome to our Derby service
You’ll be joining the team in our service close to Derby City Centre. The team supports people with serious learning disabilities in the community and their own homes. Our aim is to give them as much control as possible over their own lives
Make it happen - your role
You’ll have a responsible role that’s really varied, sometimes challenging and often lots of fun. The job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support - so they can live as independently as possible, make their own choices and do the things they enjoy. Here are just some of the activities you could soon be supporting:
Cooking, cleaning washing and ironing – Personal care - Paying bills/Managing household finances - Taking medicines - Going shopping – going on day trips – Going bowling – Swimming - Visiting hairdressers, dentists, doctors, opticians and hospital – going on holiday – visiting family – trampolining – walking – Going for meals
