Deputy General Manager (Food & Drink)

The Black Country Living Museum welcomes over 300,000 visitors per year to explore and discover 300 years of Black Country history. Around sixty buildings, engineering structures and items of street and canal furniture, all with regional provenance, have been relocated to the Museum to allow visitors to “see, taste, feel, smell, hear and join in 300 years of Black Country history.”

A fixed term, maternity cover opportunity has arisen within our Food & Drink Team for the role of Deputy General Manager.

This role requires someone with catering management experience in a similar fast paced, multi-unit environment to the Museum and of a comparable scale and complexity. The successful candidate will have a background in managing, developing and coaching a diverse team as well as comprehensive knowledge of contemporary EPOS and back office systems.

This role could be a great opportunity for someone with kitchen management experience to take the next step into a senior general catering management role. With circa 40 staff and 8 outlets to oversee, the successful candidate will have the ability to make clear and effective decisions and have a real impact on his is a role for the commercial success of this important team within the Museum.

Salary: circa £25,000 per Annum, pro-rata
