The Black Country Living Museum welcomes over 300,000 visitors per year to explore and discover 300 years of Black Country history. Around sixty buildings, engineering structures and items of street and canal furniture, all with regional provenance, have been relocated to the Museum to allow visitors to “see, taste, feel, smell, hear and join in 300 years of Black Country history.”

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Museum for a Team Manager for our Industry & Transport team.

This is a key people management role, requiring great interpersonal skills and the ability to balance priorities of the team with those of our visitors at all times. Knowledge and understanding of the industry and transport sector in a heritage context is essential as is the ability to ensure our staff are engaged, motivated and equipped to deliver the fascinating stories of the rich heritage of the Black Country.

Some form of managerial experience in a cultural, heritage or leisure organisation of a similar size and complexity is a pre-requisite and you will be keen to develop new and creative ideas to continue to being our site to life.

Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 per Annum

The closing date is Friday 26 May 2017, with interviews to take place at the Museum shortly after this date.
