Purpose of the Role

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and innovative individual to contribute to the improvement of the supply chain, delivering against the business ambitions across costs and service.

You'll be accountable for supplier performance and building improvement activity through exploring new opportunities and leveraging technology. You will mitigate and manage supply chain risk by developing and deploying appropriate strategies.

You'll have excellent communication and relationship management skills, you will work closely with our stakeholders in order to understand customer demand as well as the needs of the business and how supply chain impacts them. You will be a proactive individual, seeking new ways to improve the supply chain's effectiveness, with the confidence to challenge the existing status quo. This is a varied and detailed role, and you will need great organisational skills to be effective in the role.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a leader, your role is to ensure suppliers are an extension of our business whose talents and technology transform service to deliver the claims strategy & unlock new value; driving competitive advantage.

- Use systems thinking methodology to resolve systemic service problems to constantly improve the system performance and optimise cost.
- Identify & recommend supplier improvement opportunities , agree priorities and execute excellently
- Manages the supplier risk mitigation actions to ensure completion & ARIBA compliance
- Active in the E2E system, building collaborative relationships to lead waste & failure reviews & agree follow up activity
- Uses data to review supplier performance that drives insight and action on business improvement opportunities
- Identifies opportunitiies for technology to transform the customer experience
- Understand the Supplier / Claims IT architecture, how suppliers are appointed, managed and paid

Skills & Experience required

- Some experience of supplier improvement
- Effective relationship management
- Understanding of technology and the impacts on supply chains
- Ability to work successfully across a matrix organization
- Ability to work with pace & agility, succeeding with competing priorities and timelines, while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
