THE COMPANY: Our client is a well established, leading Accountancy firm based in Goole & York. With specialist advisors across all aspects of accountancy, dealing with a range of businesses and individual commissions.
Due to the continued success of the company, we are now looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to join their expanding team.
THE ROLE: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join this successful business as a Trainee Accountant in our client's Goole or York office. The key purpose of this position is to place the right candidate into a training program whilst gaining a strong practical experience.
Key Responsibilities to include:-
BASIC ACCOUNTS PREPARATION
• Double entry
• Bank reconciliation
• Debtors, creditors and stock
• Journal entries
• VAT reconciliation
ACCOUNTS COMPLETION
• Sole Trader
• Partnership
• Limited Companies
• LLP
• Corporate partner

THE CANDIDATE: The successful Trainee Accountant will be an enthusiastic person who will be willing to learn and show the commitment to progress through the qualification whilst learning the basics of accountancy. You may be a graduate, fresh out of your A levels or even started at another Accountancy practice; if you have the will to learn and succeed then our client wants to speak with you.
Key experience essential for the role:
• 3 good A-Levels (achieved or predicted) (at least 1 A & 2 B's) or relevant degree
• A general all round interest in accountancy and prepared to commit to progressing through learning stages and qualifications in ACA accountancy.
