We are looking for a Job Coach to join our team based in Trafford, Greater Manchester

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Making it happen - your Role
We currently have a vacancy for a Job Coach at our Greater Manchester Supported Employment Service to work for our Trafford Local Authority programme. This is a programme funded by Trafford Council to work with people with learning disabilities and autism known to the Council and support them into paid work. It is a long-standing contract that we have successfully built up over 14 years. We are ideally looking to appoint someone with experience supporting people with complex disabilities into work, have a keen interest in making a difference and engaging with people, and someone who is patient, empathetic and a good communicator. We offer both formal and on the job training, and our national specialists are on hand to provide expert advice and support in best practice, inclusion, quality and health and safety, providing exceptional support and making a difference to people's lives. You will be fully inducted working alongside experienced colleagues.
You will be flexible and creative in supporting individuals to access employment and be able to identify and overcome barriers to employment that the people we support face.
What we need from you
To be a great Job Coach, you don’t necessarily need to come from a social care background but if you have a keen interest in making a difference and engaging with people and you are patient, empathetic and a good communicator then we would like to hear from you. You will also need good IT and self-management skills and a flexible approach. You will also have the ability to market individuals or services, have an understanding of the supported employment process and good knowledge of local businesses/companies. Working within and around the Trafford area.

As a job coach you will be required to support people with learning disabilities and autism into paid employment, ensure people we support are adequately skilled and informed to carry out their roles. Be creative in supporting individuals to access open employment, identify and overcome barriers to employment that the people we support face. Ensure productive relations with all parties including employers, colleagues, parents and carers, and professionals; support social enterprises to market their products. Monitor performance of individuals to ensure progression; build appropriate and empowering relations with individuals; ensure an inclusive approach to all aspects of the role. You will also be required to take a lead on overseeing and achieving the outcomes set for the programme and gaining new referrals.
Full driving licence and own vehicle are essential for the successful applicant.
