Adecco are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for our client based in Waltham Abbey. Our client is a well established leader in their market looking for a proactive hands on Manager to join their busy team.
This role is a combination of both team management and supporting the team in the day to day running of the warehouse. The role will be to assist in managing a cost effective & efficient warehouse operation, ensure manning & equipment levels are maintained to ensure full warehouse operation with particular emphasis on following company procedure. The salary offered is GBP28,000-GBP30,000 per annum dependant on experience.
Key Accountabilities:
*The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operational and financial running of the warehouse.
*Ensure that the full compliance with statutory and company health & safety regulations.
*Ensure that all practices and procedures are executed in the pack house and they comply with the relevant safety acts and systems.
*Maintain and improve performance levels both in terms of service and financial control.
*Achieving KPIs including cases moved per hour, accuracy of stock received and dispatched, labour turnover, sickness and absence levels, service levels.
*Working within budgets including staffing costs, agency costs, equipment costs, maintenance costs and material costs.
*Direct, motivate and develop the management team to equip them with the skills to effectively lead and manage their teams.
*Demonstrable change management abilities, ability to work within an evolving organisation and challenge the status quo driving change in a business.
*Ensure a secure and safe environment for staff and products.
*Compile accident statistics which in turn is used to implement improvements for Health & Safety.
The successful candidate:
* Proven experience within a warehouse management role, preferably within the food industry.
* Experience within the FMCG shared user environment.
* Strong leadership abilities, driving results through a team approach.; Ability to engage, coach and develop your team.
* Excellent decision-making abilities and ability to integrate and apply information; Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
* Working knowledge of warehouse management systems experience.
* Professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation.
* IT Skills - Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point software applications and Microsoft Outlook. Experience of ERP would be advantageous.
* Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
