Finance Manager / Financial Accountant / Business Analyst

Job title: Finance Manager

Location: Milton Park, Oxfordshire

Salary: c£35-£37,000 depending on skills and experience

Our client, a high quality provider of customised logistics solutions at all stages of the supply chain, is currently recruiting a Finance Manager to undertake the full financial accounting function in support of the UK operation based at their Headquarters in Milton Park, Oxfordshire.

This role provides an opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to develop their capability and continue their career progression in the role of Finance Manager within a logistics environment. The successful candidate will be able to work alone in the UK office, with support from German colleagues, to provide accurate financial information and advice to the senior management team.

ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or other equivalent qualification and previous experience covering financial accounting, Tax and VAT in a UK organisation is required.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts and financial statements
• Undertaking strategic analysis and planning
• Production of long term business plans
• Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
• Managing and forecasting budgets
• Creating, controlling and checking invoices against SLA's
• Analysing monthly accounts and reviewing these with senior management team
• Debtor and supplier management
• Day to day liaison with German parent company Finance team
• Supporting the senior management team with price negotiations
• Facilitating the annual Finance Audit

The Candidate:

Required skills and experience:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or other equivalent qualification
• Previous experience covering financial accounting TAX and VAT in a UK organisation
• Demonstrable commercial awareness
• A high degree of numeracy, analytical and accountancy skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive and able to work independently

Desirable:

• Knowledge and experience of using SAP
