An international manufacturer of Point of Sale equipment is seeking to hire a Development Design Engineer on a contract basis. We are offering 40 hours a week at GBP30-35 per hour and 5 day payment terms. This is initially a 3 month contract but will be extended based on performance.
As Development Designer will you be responsible for:
- Development of complete systems using plastic injection moulding, fabricated metal and acrylic, MDF and wood.
- 3D CAD using Solidworks or Pro/e CREO
- Prototype building and testing
- Product development from concept through to production
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Development Designer or Product Designer.
- Experience in Point of Purchase (POP), Point of Sale (POS), retail display or exhibition designs.
- 3D CAD (solid modelling and detailed technical drawings).
- Solidworks or PTC Pro/e CREO
