An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Development Engineer to join Greenbank Terotech Ltd based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

Greenbank Terotech Ltd is an innovative heavy engineering company specialising in boiler enhancement technologies, wear prevention systems and materials handling schemes. We provide bespoke engineering solutions to many areas of heavy industry including power generation, cement, steel, paper, glass, sugar, minerals, petrochemical and food. Our award-winning technology has been successfully installed on customer sites both in the UK and worldwide.

The Project Engineer will undertake activities relating to R&D projects and product life cycle development. It will also include helping to develop and improve the products and services offered by the company.

In addition, the Project Engineer compiles and issues all technical documentation to fulfil contractual requirements, ensuring that it is presented professionally and in the appropriate format, in line with Greenbank's quality plans and those of the customer.

As a Project Development Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be:

- Champion EC& I implementation where needed on all legacy, current and new products.
- To produce designs and design documentation in-line with relevant standards and regulations including ATEX, EMC, LVD, Machinery Directives and British standards.
- To read and convert engineering drawings into 3D/2D CAD packages when required.
- Implement design for manufacture
- Software development using LabVIEW, testing and application of equipment from design stage, through to production, installation and commissioning.
- Liaising with all key partners and suppliers to ensure good lines of communication are maintained along the supply chain.
- Ensure customer contracts are fulfilled in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.
- Providing back-up service as required to maintain good customer relations.
- Resolve technical queries received from customers and colleagues.
- Design and development of current and future products.
- Identify and put forward R&D Ideas, by means of official communication directly to the R&D General Manager.
- Work with the R&D team, assisting with the development of products and their commercial applications.
- Ensure all R&D projects are delivered on time, contracts meeting their expected profitability against their budget targets.

An ideal Project Development Engineer will be degree-qualified (or has a HND) with some experience in the workplace and must have a solid understanding of LabVIEW and National Instruments Hardware.

Some travel to sites both in the UK and overseas will be required.

Your working hours will be 37 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.15am-4.30pm, Fri 8.15 am-3.35pm
