A unique opportunity for a dedicated, energetic Principal Designer has arisen within a rapidly expanding, respected consultancy. With excellent promotion prospects the role will be working with the consultancies major clients as PD across their portfolio of civils based projects. The consultancies unique selling point as a trainer of CDM services as well as purveyor sets them apart from the competition and they will train the right candidate, as required, in these skills.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of, and strong experience in, CDM/Principal Designer works preferably within an M&E or Civils background on projects ranging from GBP50k - GBP70mil. They will have a minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) and hold membership of APS at Incorporated (IMaPS), Certified (CMaPS) or Fellowship level. They will also be able to demonstrate experience in construction site H&S inspections and audits and hold a professional CSCS card. Those candidates that have a qualification in an associated technical area at a minimum of HNC or equivalent level and training qualification will be given preference.
Covering North London and the M4 corridor a full driving licence is required.
Requirements:
Essential:
IMaPS, CMaPS or FMaPS.
Minimum 8 years' experience as a CDM-C/Principal Designer.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
CSCS card
Preferred:
CMIOSH.
OSHCR registered.
Trainer qualification.
Other appropriate technical qualification.
