ATA recruitment is currently working with a leading, global business that specialise in the design, manufacture, installation and service of mechanical equipment used within a variety of different sectors such as water, power generation, construction, mining, industrial plants etc. With over 130 years experience within their field and a commitment to customer service, they are well known for delivering high quality products and services to their customers.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an Project Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer to join their main UK manufacturing facility and get involved with a variety of projects ranging in value from GBP250,000 to GBP6,000,000!
The Role
* As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design of a variety of equipment used within water, power generation, construction, mining, industrial industries.
* Exciting opportunity to be responsible for projects ranging in value from GBP250,000 to GBP6,000,000. You are likely to handle up to 5 projects at one time!
* Role will involve the review of customer specifications / their electrical systems to produce the electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Promise-E, RS Wire etc. (full training will be provided on their design packages).
* You will create schematics, panel layouts, loop and logic diagrams, electrical GA's and P&ID's.
* This position will be customer focussed and you will be required to answer any technical queries and attend meetings at customer sites. You will also communicate with various internal departments throughout the process (i.e. shop floor, engineering teams) as well as suppliers.
* Other responsibilities will include the production of BOMs, technical documents, specifications as well as providing occasional support with commissioning activities.
The Person
* You will be an Project Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer with strong electrical design experience.
* Good knowledge and experience with AutoCAD, Creo / Pro Engineer, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Promise-E, RS wire or a similar design package.
* You are likely to be degree / HND / HNC qualified or Apprentice trained with the ability to work well under pressure and good organisational / communication skills.
