Development Manager (£48k) or Senior Development Manager (£56k)

Our client is able to appoint to this role at either "Development Manager" level on a salary of £48k or "Senior Development Manager" level on a salary of £56k, dependant on qualifications and the competence level demonstrated for more complex and autonomous work.
37.5 hrs per week
They are a forward thinking organisation that thrives upon the ideas, ambitions and diversity of our people. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Property Development Manager to join their Strategic Asset Management team.
They are looking for an innovative property professional to support the Head of Development, in the delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan, offering maximum benefit to our residents and the wider organisation. With an ambition to reverse the rise in rough sleeping in all the areas we operate, we prioritise accommodation for the homeless.
Supporting the Head of Development, you will ensure that our portfolio of housing stock meet their high expectations of standards and functionality. You will also be responsible for ensuring that they meet legislative and regulatory compliance and governance; in line with the Capital funding Guide. Other responsibilities include identifying new opportunities for development or refurbishment of properties, project managing complex development projects and overseeing negotiations with property owners and solicitors; to ensure that best value is achieved in new acquisitions.
To succeed, you will have a proven track record in the management of projects in line with deadlines and agreed budgets, and of working with build contracts or in joint ventures. You will also have a good understanding of in risk management and the town planning process
Proficiency in financial appraisals and budget control for new build regeneration and refurbishment housing/mixed use projects is also essential. While a recognised or relevant professional qualification (e.g. RIBA, RICS or CIOB) within the built environment would be advantageous.
