Tate Catering is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tate. Our activities range from providing a restorative cup of tea to a weary visitor, right the way through to catering for special events being held by Tate’s corporate sponsors. Our aim is to be the market-leading caterer within the arts and to consistently provide outstanding food, drink and service at the four Tate sites and the other sites within our business.

Tate Catering is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to run our Tate Modern Restaurant on Level 9, which overlooks the Thames with panoramic views from the City of London, to Westminster and to South London. We will continue to build the restaurant's reputation to rival that of the Rex Whistler at Tate Britain, serving contemporary British/European Cuisine and wines from Tate’s award-winning wine cellars. The Restaurant Manager will also be responsible for the Terrace Bar, which serves a selection of craft beers, Tate Coffee, cocktails, Tate made cakes and pastries, as well as hot food.

* be confident and knowledgeable, understanding the genre and style of their operations
* know their people and be a visible, dynamic leader who leads with energy and positivity
* possess superior communications skills 
* be able to adapt and unify a varied stable of offers as one department 
* have experience of leading teams to deliver high levels of customer service
* have experience of recruiting, managing performance and delivering training

Our Restaurants and Bar Manager will need to be a charming individual engaging with our finest dining clients, building relationships with important customers and developing business through great customer relations.You will need to engage with other departments within the organisation to ensure the offer is kept innovative, consistent and relevant.
