£350 Per day



Interaction Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager for an immediate start in Plymouth, The contract is a 6 month contract with the option for permanent employment for the right candidate. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.



In this role you will be responsible for the control of all mechanical work which our client undertakes in the dockyard. You will oversee each mechanical project from the initial design inception to handover in a professional safe, methodical and productive manner.



In the role you will be responsible for:- 
 
 
· The control of ALL mechanical installation and servicing work carried out at the Dockyard.

· Chairing and participating in meetings with the Client, Suppliers and Sub-contractors.

· Carrying out Tools box talks, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.

· Reviewing specification and drawings to establish the Clients requirements of the project.

· The document flow for each project including, but not limited to Programme. RFIs, TQs, Testing sheets, handover documentation)

· Financial control for all projects undertaken, including the issuing of applications for payment and variation control.

· Quality Control for all projects undertaken, including final signing off.

· Design control and changes for all projects undertaken. Including Marking up, reviewing and final sign off of all Scope of works, drawings and schedules.

· Liaising with Clients, Sub Contractors and Suppliers.

· The requisition and control of all necessary installation materials and suppliers.

· The control and sign off of the testing of systems, commissioning and handover. 
 
 
 
 
To be successful in applying for this vacancy you should:- 
 
 
· Be in possession of an HND qualification in Mechanical services or equivalent in Building Services.



· Have at least 5 years experience working in a dockyard environment or equivalent professional environment.



· Have a solid track record which demonstrates you have delivered various projects on time and to budget.



You will need to demonstrate good knowledge on the following systems:-



· Steam, MTHW, LTHW Systems. Including expansion and anchoring requirements.



· Heating Systems, Boilers, Buffer Vessels, Calorifiers, PHE (Plate Heat Exchangers).



· Natural Gas, LPG, OIL and Compressed air Systems.



· AHU, Chilled Water, Cooling Tower, Air Conditioning, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Air Source Heat Pump Systems.



· Hot Water Heaters, Calorifiers (Electric, Gas and indirect) Booster Sets, Water tanks and domestic fittings.



· Understand when and where to install Steel, Copper, Galvanised, Stainless Steel and Plastic Pipework systems.



· Hot Water Heaters, Calorifiers (Electric, Gas and indirect) Booster Sets, Water tanks and domestic fittings.



· Knowledge of the following Pipework System Types would also be required - Welded, Screwed, Crimped, Compression, Push Fit, Soldered, Brazed, Electro-fusion.
