Héroux-Devtek are looking to welcome an enthusiastic professional to join their busy Finance Team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk based at the head office in Runcorn, Cheshire.

Who will I be working with?

Héroux-Devtek is an international company specialising in the design, development, manufacture, integration, testing and repair and overhaul of landing gear and actuation systems and components for the Aerospace market. Founded in 1942, the business has a rich history which includes manufacturing the landing gear for the Apollo Lunar Module which landed on the moon’s surface in 1969.

So, what will the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk entail?

Reporting to the Finance Manager you’ll be part of a busy Finance Team of ten employees, where as a Purchase Ledger Clerk you’ll take responsibility for the efficient and accurate processing of the purchase ledger. Your duties will include although not be limited to:

  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger
  • Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders
  • Inputting invoices onto accounting system
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Reconciling statements
  • Dealing with any queries that arise with regards to the purchase ledger
  • Maintaining data on Excel spreadsheets
  • Maintaining good working relationships both internally and externally
  • Supporting colleagues with tasks and providing cover as part of a flexible finance team

What will I need to be considered for this Purchase Ledger Clerk vacancy?

  • Proven experience within a busy accounts environment maintaining a purchase ledger
  • High level of numeracy and attention to detail
  • IT literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Accurate and timely data entry skills
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Team player with a flexible and can do attitude

What will I receive in return?

Salary:                          Competitive, level dependent on experience  

Additional benefits:       25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension scheme, and salary sacrifice healthcare scheme

Contract type:               Temporary 12 week contract, with potential for a permanent contract

Hours of work:              Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, Friday 8am to 1pm (8am to 4:30pm one in every four Fridays)
