An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Multi Skilled Operative based in Lambeth. Within the role you will be responsible for completing repairs to the housing stock as required by our client whilst working effectively within a consistent operation repairs service.

Liaising with the Mears call centre you will enable a response to emergencies and other works within a given time period, whilst ensuring the work has been carried out both effectively and efficiently. You will complete the works to a high quality standard in order to maximise first time fix criteria, appointment objectives alongside improving resident satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be able to submit presentable and accurate paperwork which includes PDA data base information coupled with using SOR and descriptive works, in order to cost works which are being completed. Within the role you will work within a busy repairs/ voids team environment, reporting individual actions from site guaranteeing maximum service delivery and high levels of resident satisfaction at all times.

In order to be successful in this role, candidates should hold (as a minimum) the following experience:

Plumbing all aspects

• Tap repairs and installation
• Toilet cistern/pan repair and renewal
• Bath repairs and renewal
• WHB repairs and renewals
• Fault finding, trace and remedy leaks

Carpentry

• Fit new doors and frames both internal and external including cutting in all ironmongery
• Carry out all internal carpentry repairs such as skirting, architrave repairs and renewals
• Repair and fit new kitchen units and work tops
• Carry out window repairs such as sliding sash window cord renewals, adding extra weights
• Carry out timber staircase repairs renewing treads, risers, newel posts and balustrades    

It would be a bonus if you can:

• Tile
• Plaster
• Decorate

Ideally candidates will hold Builder/multi skilled first trade experience in Carpentry/Plumbing coupled with a relevant trade qualification. 

The successful Multi Skilled Operative must understand paperwork and job coding coupled with excellent communication skills. A proficient user of mobile PDA, you will be a motivated individual with the ability to succeed.

Candidates for this role must hold a full valid UK driving license
