Portfolio Manager (£40k) or Senior Portfolio Manager (£45k)

Our client is a forward thinking organisation that thrives upon the ideas, ambitions and diversity of our people. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Property Portfolio Manager to join their Strategic Asset Management team.

They are looking for an innovative property professional to support the Director of Strategic Asset Management and Head of Development, in the delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan, offering maximum benefit to their residents and the wider organisation. With an ambition to reverse the rise in rough sleeping in all the areas they operate, they prioritise accommodation for the homeless.

Reviewing and reporting on potential stock disposal, purchase and regeneration opportunities across the portfolio, you will build on the foundations of their 2800 existing bed spaces, to 'feed' the development programme, growing the portfolio up to 5000 bed spaces. This will mean managing resources skilfully. You will have the ability to set up processes, analyse data and undertake option appraisals, through to writing Gateway reports for internal approval. Handling the legal and financial aspects of acquisitions and disposals, plus all associated financial analysis with the finance team will also be key to the role. You'll need a talent for identifying a good opportunity above all else.

A recognised qualification or professional accreditation in property management such as RICS and previous project management experience is desirable, as is a good understanding of the property sales process from a commercial and legal perspective. A comprehensive understanding of housing/residential development and management is essential; ideally experience gained from the affordable housing or supported sector.

They are able to appoint to this role at either "Portfolio Manager" level on a salary of £40k or "Senior Portfolio Manager" level on a salary of £45k dependant on qualifications and the competence level demonstrated for more complex and autonomous work.
