Surface Generation has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer / Team Leader to join the team based in Oakham. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum.

As the Manufacturing Engineer / Team Leader you will be responsible for the build, testing and development of tooling and heating / cooling systems for the composite sector. You will have a minimum of 10 years hands-on experience covering design, manufacturing, procurement or similar.
The Manufacturing Engineer / Team Leader duties and key responsibilities:
- Leadership of in-house CAM / CNC team.
- Sourcing of materials, components, assemblies.
- Supply chain management and development.
- Quality and stock control.
- Production scheduling.
Our ideal Manufacturing Engineer / Team Leader will have the below skills and experience:
Essential
- Excellent IT (MS Office / SolidWorks) experience.
- Ability to create and understand engineering drawings
- Familiarity with milling, turning, grinding, fabrication.
- Qualification to HNC/HND level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
e.g. automotive, mechanical or aerospace.
- Proven ability to work singularly and within multi-disciplinary teams, clients
and suppliers.
Desirable
- Lean manufacturing.
- Continuous improvement.

The successful Manufacturing Engineer / Team Leader will receive a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000, depending on skills and experience, per annum, in addition to 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) ) and a pleasant rural working environment with the opportunity to travel.
