Outline Job Profile
Working with Systems Design Authority you will be responsible for
Optimising mechanical design of HAPS platforms and support equipment
Develop solutions meeting system requirements focussing on lightweight structures
Preparing and presenting design solutions to design reviews
Working with production teams with a focus on design for manufacture
Completion of designs including creation of CAD modelling
Qualifications / Experience
Experience & Qualifications
Candidates will have significant experience in the aerospace industry with either a degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent experience. The successful candidate's experience and skills will include the following:
Interpretation of system technical requirements into a finalised design and product
Knowledge of composite fabrication techniques
In depth knowledge of drawing standards specifically technical product specification BS8888
Extensive Cad modelling experience ideally using Solid Works
Proven track record in Space/Aerospace industry
Experience of managing project work packages to tight timescales throughout the full life cycle of a project
Experience of requirements capture and management would be an advantage
