Assystem are recruiting on behalf of our globally successful OEM based in the Bedfordshire area. We are seeking an experienced Suspension Design Engineer to join the existing chassis team.
The successful engineer will be responsible for the technical design and development of suspension components and systems to ensure that the suspension system performs as expected as a part of the larger overall chassis system.
You will already have the following background and experience:
*Suspension development with major automotive OEM or first tier supplier.
*Experience of vehicle packaging, and vehicle durability requirements.
*Knowledge of suspension parts development requirements and manufacturing requirements.
*Engineering degree or equivalent
*Experience of working on multiple projects, and ability to prioritise own workload
*Cost benchmarking skills
*Use of 3D viewing tools (NX Teamcenter) and release tools
*MS Office software / Excel advanced level
