My client, a market leading, international multidisciplinary Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join a supportive Flood Risk and Coastal Team of specialist Consultants and Engineers based in Haywards Heath.
It is essential that applicants have a MSc and or BSc in Hydrology, River Basin Dynamics or Environmental Engineering and have achieved or are close to achieving Chartered status.
Candidates are also required to have experience managing projects, supporting team members and completing Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling and River Engineering Projects.
Candidates are required to have demonstrable experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans and Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.
It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience completing Flood Alleviation Schemes or Culvert, Weir or Fish Pass Design.
As a Principal Hydraulic Modeller you will be required to mentor and train team members, manage and complete large scale Hydrological, Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage and River Management Projects for Private and Public Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Water Companies.
You will also be required to check technical work, provide technical advice to the team and complete;
-Hydrological Assessments.
-Flood Risk Assessments.
-Surface Water and Catchment Management Plans.
-Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
-River Restoration and detailed design of Flood Defence Schemes, Weirs, Embankments and Fish Pass Design.
-Flood Alleviation Schemes.
