Part Time Cleaner

Founded in 1646, Reading Blue Coat School is a leading independent day school of 480 boys aged 11 – 16, with a further 260 students in the co-educational Sixth Form. The School is located on a beautiful 46 acre campus in the village of Sonning, just outside Reading, overlooking the Thames.

We require a Cleaner to join our busy Housekeeping team, working 20 hours per week. Standard hours are 16:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday with some flexibility. Additional hours at the weekend may be required occasionally to support special events.

Responsibilities will include cleaning of offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, dining areas, changing rooms, and other work areas.

Applicants must be fit, energetic, conscientious, thorough, be an effective team worker as well as confident in working without constant supervision. Some experience of operating cleaning equipment and materials will be an advantage.

Starting rate of £7.89 per hour with potential to rise to £8.04 per hour after 3 months service, based on performance. We offer a pleasant working environment, generous holiday entitlement, contributory pension scheme and other benefits.
