An exciting opportunity has arisen within Concorde Logistics for experienced Warehouse Operatives to help provide an excellent customer experience and ensure that we deliver on our promises. This role is based at our Avonmouth Distribution Centre and the successful candidates will work 5 days out of 7, earning £15,600 per annum plus benefits.

Concorde Logistics, part of the Steinhoff UK Retail Group, are experts in the field of furniture home delivery and assembly. We have a network of over 8 Distribution Centres, responsible for delivering furniture to over 300,000 customers per year.

The successful Warehouse Operative  will report to the Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for the effective handling and checking of incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring that each product is stored in the correct location.

As our Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will be as follows:

- Support an environment and culture where the Customer is firmly at the centre of everything that we do.

- Ensure safe handling, storage and wrapping of all products in-line with company policy

- Visual safety checks prior to use of manual and mechanical equipment ensuring that all defects are reported

- To load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner, highlighting any errors or damages

- Marshalling of picked stock to correct loading bay in readiness for checking.

- To maintain high levels of Health and safety awareness

- To ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures

- To participate as an effective and willing team member in order to achieve individual and team goals

- To ensure the health and safety of Self, Customers and Colleagues is not at risk, by taking all reasonable steps to ensure safety in the workplace.

- To adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

Our Warehouse Operative will possess the following experience and skills:

- Previous experience of working within a warehousing environment

- Previous manual handling experience

- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture

- RTITB forklift Licence

- Understanding of the importance of the ‘engine room’ of Home delivery and its contribution to the wider customer experience

- Desire to deliver on our promises to our customer, ensuring a ‘Great place to shop’

- Understanding of the importance of an effective warehousing operation to the wider customer experience
