Senior Operations Manager / Supply Chain Manager / Warehouse & Logistics Manager required to head up supply chain, warehouse & logistics, and customer services for a whole owned UK subsidiary of a market leading European manufacturer.
BASIC SALARY: up to GBP55,000 (DOE) + Bonus of up to...GBP5000.

After 20 years of the same senior management and due to the incumbent`s impending retirement we wish to recruit an experienced Operations Manager who likes a challenge.
WE WISH TO RECRUIT AN EXPERIENCED OPERATIONS MANAGER TO TAKE COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR:
- All Supply Chain & Planning, Warehouse & Distribution, Customer Care & Sales Office; managing 3 department managers who, in turn manage circa 20 personnel covering supply chain, supply chain engineering, repair & calibration, warehouse & logistics, and customers services.
- Ensuring the smooth transfer of goods and materials from our inter group companies and directly from other 3rd party UK / European based manufacturers & suppliers to our UK base, end-user clients and established dealer network.
- People-management, recruitment, motivation, training and development of staffing responsibilities
OTHER TASKS INCLUDE (BUT NOT EXHAUSTIVELY):
- Supplier benchmarking and 3rd party supplier contract negotiation
- Responsibility for legal compliance, import/export documentation and tariffs
- Overhead purchasing - non-inventory items
- Facilities management including building maintenance, lease agreements as examples
- Health and safety compliance
PERSON BRIEF - Senior Operations Manager
We are interested in receiving applications from individuals who:
- Are experienced people managers, used to managing supply chain and logistics teams within a sales led, manufacturing arena
- Have experience of working with / managing non UK outsource manufacturers and suppliers
- Have experience of working within a changing environment where you have planned and controlled change
- Have strong leadership skills; able to motivate and inspire team members but also question the status quo; challenging others to improve processes and systems
- Have demonstrated ability working with MRP systems
- Have direct exposure to customers and end users
Any knowledge of Employment Law & best practice would be advantageous.
