My client, a large mainstream secondary school in Leicester, is currently looking for a qualified teacher of History to join their humanities department in the Autumn term. This is a full time, permanent opportunity and applicants must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification in order to be considered. Experience in teaching History to key stages 3 and 4 is also a requirement.
You will ideally be a fully qualified teacher of History, or an NQT with a specialism in History. The school currently caters to approximately 1200 students, and they are consistently oversubscribed year or year. For NQT's, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, busy, and friendly environment with genuine opportunities to develop yourself as a teacher. For more experienced teachers, the school provides excellent (and regular) opportunities to pursue additional development opportunities.
The role will primarily involve teaching History to key stages 3 and 4, but there may occasionally be a need to teach either Geography or Religious Studies to key stage 3 depending on timetabling and NOR in the coming academic year - this has yet to be decided and the SLT are more than happy to discuss at interview stage. For more information, please contact Leigh on (Apply online only)
