Electronic Test Technician

FINTEC recruit is seeking an Electronic Test Technician for our client in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent role with salary circa £23k to £26k depending on experience.

Responsibility of the Electronic Test Technician role:

• Testing of electronic sub-assemblies and assemblies using appropriate test equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes etc.
• Inspection of electronic circuit boards and systems.
• Fault finding and repair of electronic systems and sub-assemblies including de-soldering and soldering of components.
• Assembly of electronic equipment and systems.
• Maintain associated paperwork for test and repair of equipment.
• Investigate design issues and identify potential improvements.
• Initiate, investigate and action non-conformances when required.
• Work in conjunction with the company's Quality Policy and Quality Objectives

Skill Requirements:

• A 'hands on' Engineering Technician with a number of years' experience in an electronic assembly/test environment.
• Minimum HNC or equivalent in Electronics or closely related subject
• Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams
• Good soldering skills
• Ability to use test equipment as required, e.g. multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
