Job Title: Project Administrator

Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Salary: circa £25-30,000 dependent on experience

The company has been designing and building very high end timber garden rooms (orangeries etc.) for 30 years and has earned an impressive reputation for outstanding design and superior quality.

They are looking for a hardworking and organised Project Administrator to manage the day to day running of their residential building projects and provide all associated administrative and scheduling support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise on-site personnel each day/week accordingly, ensuring all 'Projects' are kept up-to-date and the clients' needs are met as the project evolves.
  • Help prepare project plans, timeframes, schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate activities, resources, equipment and information relating to each project.
  • Maintain full year schedule of all current and upcoming projects.
  • Liaising with the designers with regards to project progression and potential sales.
  • Brief all tradespeople on project, providing working drawings and key information.
  • Make Building Notice applications and liaise with Building Inspector where required.
  • Quantify and order relevant on-site materials and arrange hire of any additional resource.
  • Liaise with Production team to coordinate joinery production timing and delivery logistics.
  • Liaise with Technicians, Master Builder, Designer and Director to ensure smooth running of all projects and to see that any queries are resolved ASA.
  • Liaise with Finance Manager with regard to tradespeople, timesheets and invoicing.
  • Assist with Aftercare service.
  • Assist with on-site personnel training and development.
  • Review and develop Health and safety procedures on site.
  • Review and develop in-house procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the office when required.

The Candidate:

  • The person fulfilling this role should be organised, flexible and adaptable.
  • To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in a fast-paced administrative environment.
  • Previous experience of administration and working to deadlines is required.
  • The Ability to prioritise your workload with good time management in order to juggle several projects at any one time is vital (completing more than 60 projects per year).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi task and solve problems is required.
  • Someone who can keep a clear head in a fast paced & changing environment.
  • Previous experience within the architectural or construction industry would also be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experienced working with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Some experience of CDM / Health & Safety would be advantageous.
  • Can do attitude, willingness to join in and help others when needed.
