Interested in working in HR for a youth development charity where we change lives? This could be the role for you.
At MSSC (Marine Society and Sea Cadets) we have an exciting opportunity for an HR Co-ordinator to come join our team based in London. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £24,000 per annum plus benefits.
About the HR Co-ordinator role
We are looking for a brilliant and organised HR Co-ordinator who will be the backbone of our small HR department. This is a generalist administrative role covering the broad HR remit for approximately 200 employees. It is a fantastic opportunity for the suitable candidate to take ownership of all the HR administrative processes within the team, whilst getting exposure to a variety of different HR elements. The role will include generating employee correspondence, co-ordinating all our recruitment, managing the employee development programme, inputting the monthly payroll, responding to employee queries and supporting the HR team with new projects and initiatives.
MSSC (Marine Society and Sea Cadets) are a vibrant and growing charity delivering life changing nautical adventure and fun for young people through the Sea Cadets. We aim to give young people nationwide the best possible head start in life by building life skills to help provide a brighter future. Additionally our Marine Society College and Library make personal and professional development opportunities available to Seafarers, wherever they may be. This is an exciting time for the charity and we need top talent like you to come aboard and help us realise our goals and maximise our impact.
What we’re looking for in our HR Co-ordinator
If you’re an organised, efficient and pro-active administrator who is keen to expand their knowledge within HR, this could be the role for you. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for providing a professional and slick HR service to our employees. You will need excellent attention to detail, ability to work at pace and to juggle multiple priorities. You will have administration experience and ideally you will have some HR experience/knowledge but that latter is not essential. You will need to be able to grasp new elements quickly and efficiently. You will sit within a small HR team, working closely with the HR Advisor and the Director of HR, and you will play a fundamental role in driving forward our daily HR activity.
