About the Senior Network Engineer (Checkpoint, Nexus) role

If you’re looking for a role that combines a little bit of everything, this is it. From building and deploying Cisco and Checkpoint hardware to diagnosing problems and trouble-shooting technical gremlins, no two days will ever be the same. Working in the network team, as part of the wider technology area, you will set up and oversee the network infrastructure we use internally at CDL, and those that we host for our external clients. Operating across the enterprise from our two new UK data-centres, you will deploy and support the networking technology, you will also create and maintain departmental policies and procedures.

As our Senior Network Engineer you will be responsible for delivering project and BAU support as required across our estate of core technologies; Cisco, Checkpoint and Juniper. All of this is delivered in an SLA driven support environment. You will be committed to working in an environment that’s as fast-paced as it is diverse, relying on experience such as that gained with CCNP certification.

What we’re looking for in our Senior Network Engineer (Checkpoint, Nexus)

In order to do great things as a Network Engineer in CDL you’ll need to have strong knowledge of enterprise network technologies to ensure the stability of the LAN and WAN infrastructure.

Other key skills & experience required:

- CCNP certification

- Cisco Nexus 2k, 5k and 7k

- Cisco Wireless

- Cisco Prime

- CheckPoint R77.x

- SolarWinds

- Juniper

- IP Telephony experience
