We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Manager based in Inverness with UK Travel. Within the role, you will be responsible for the Maintenance, Repair, Bid, SHEQ, Mears FM resource and sub-contractors across contracts and FM as required. Managing the effective technical input and technical effectiveness of all available resources for the contracts such as labour, materials, plant, vehicles and other resources. The successful Technical Manager will assist the Contract Manager in ensuring all statutory, non-statutory and contract compliances are sufficient, schedules, in place and in date. Reviewing of PPM scope of works, you will compare delivery of In House and Sub Contractor PPM alongside ensuring the statutory, non-statutory and contract PPM complies with certain requirements. The Technical Manager will be responsible for having a technical input to all matters of the business whilst ensuring all documentation meets the correct standard. Advising on Hard Services/ Technical based recruitment, you will support the continual improvement of industry best practice and innovation alongside working closely with the Mears FM SHEQ Manager ensuring solution to technical and compliance issues are met. Candidates for this position will carry out condition surveys to properties as necessary whilst assisting in the compilation and preparation of tenders.

With a relevant qualification in an M&E discipline or trades background, you will have previous experience within an M&E trades discipline. Candidates for this position will ideally be a Member of the British Institute of Facilities Managers or another relevant body. The successful Technical Manager will have experience of managing a PPM & Reactive maintenance contracts coupled with in depth technical knowledge of equipment, systems and processes. With the ability to explain and impart technical knowledge and situations to non-technical people, you will possess working knowledge in L8 Water Hygiene coupled with an IOSH or equivalent qualification. A proficient user of IT, you will have experience of managing operatives and sub-contractors with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others. The successful Technical Manager will be able manage and prioritise their workload within a range of complex work areas. With extensive knowledge of Health and Safety within the building industry, you will have the ability to obtain enhanced PVG clearance. Moreover, we are looking for a candidate who has the motivation to succeed in our thriving business. A level of flexibility is needed for this position as the role may involve working longer hours and overnight stays.

Candidates for this role must hold a full clean UK driving licence.
