  • Providing backstop support to programmes in East Africa and the Middle East in all aspects of delivery including risk management, contracting, procurement, etc.
  • Facilitating the flow of information and the use of data from the project across the company and with consortium partners.
  • Ensuring they are capturing and using data and learning across the programme to improve quality and to inform their growing portfolio on energy access in humanitarian contexts.

  • Contributing to the overall International Programmes team’s work, as needed.

This is a broad remit that requires someone with significant relevant experience, direct experience of detailed project management, knowledge of off-grid energy access technologies, excellent communication, networking and influencing skills and strong analytical and organisational project management capabilities. You will have a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant subject and have experience in a commercial environment delivering results to client deadlines. This role will require considerable experience of managing multi-country, multi-year, multi-million pound programmes in complex humanitarian environments. Your communication and influencing skills across cultures will be excellent and you will have a good network of contacts amongst research and consulting firms and understand the requirements of funding agencies.
