Who Are We?
Futures Advice, Skills and Employment (Futures) is a company jointly owned by Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council. We provide skills and employability services including the National Careers Service across the Central Eastern and East Midlands Regions. We have a strong value set that we expect all colleagues to actively demonstrate their commitment to. Our values are our DNA that link us as colleagues and make us a stronger organisation that pulls together to ensure we fulfil our purpose
Our Mission is to inspire people of all ages to achieve their potential and, in so doing, help reduce unemployment and support economic growth.
What are we looking for? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Research Bid Writer to join a new bid team who will play an integral role in increasing our market position and financial growth. To be considered you will need to demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail and possess excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills. In return you will gain a wealth of support and experience while playing a key role in researching and compiling winning bids
What can we offer?
We are a company in change and growth. We believe in the importance of supporting our colleagues to develop their potential. With our support and your commitment, we offer you the potential to succeed in a range of positions. If we can't offer you something internally when you're ready to succeed we will support you to secure progression externally.
At Futures, company-wide values underpin who we are and what we do and it is essential that all colleagues share these. Having these values means we work in a culture which is open to learning and improvement, leads by example, is passionate about making a difference and develops the potential of both colleagues and clients.
The successful candidate will:
- Work closely with the Business Development & Funding Manager to support the strategic direction of the Company in bringing in revenue for growth
- Work closely with bid colleagues on the monitoring of tender portals and registering of opportunities for tracking and pipeline management purposes
- Customise standard text to meet tender specification requirements on instruction from the bid team and other team specialists and consultants working with Futures.
- Compile key sections of any tender, proposal, or submission, including Executive Summary in a persuasive manner that takes full account of customer specific style and content.
- Support the ongoing development of full bid text library and contribute to the maintenance of ‘live' file of quantified evidence to support service outcomes that is readily available to support bid responses
- Proofreading of created material and the work of other team members, providing constructive feedback on areas that may need adjustment, working together to ensure a submission of the highest standard is achieved.
