Plant Fitter / Workshop Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to run their own workshop. Experience of the tool and plant hire industry is not essential but if you have a mechanical background, and experience of organising the workflow of a small team, then this expanding family business would like to hear from you.
You will be joining the Wembley branch of this award-winning independent tool and equipment hire company, which serves contractors working in London and the Home Counties from its three large depots throughout Greater London. With an outstanding reputation, gained over 30 years, they take great care in choosing friendly and professional individuals who take pride in the quality of their work.
This is a hands-on technical role involving fault-finding, maintenance and repair of a wide range of power tools and equipment. Applicants must be able to display a good working knowledge of electric, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, as well as small petrol and diesel engines.
Support and training are provided every step of the way, and those displaying the necessary ability and commitment will have every opportunity to progress within this growing business. You will report to the company's service manager, while working closely with the broader depot team of office, warehouse and driving staff.
Benefits include a workplace pension scheme, complimentary drinks and snacks, company workwear, monthly prizes for top performers, regular social events and a turkey at Christmas (or similar seasonal gift).
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 to 17:00
Holiday: 28 days, rising to 33 after five years' service (includes bank holidays)
Salary: In the region of £32,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
