Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant? Enjoy working with children and playing a part in developing their learning?

Randstad are currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic and passionate LSA to join a wonderful school in Huddersfield on a permanent basis.

Duties vary widely but can include:

• Helping to plan lessons and prepare resources
• Helping with pupils learning and developmen
• Assisting those who are struggling, listening to pupils read and helping with general maths and english
• Supervising pupils in the playground, dining hall, cloakrooms and in class
• Keeping records of each pupils progress and advising on new ideas / opinions for the pupils
• Helping children prepare for PE and other activities
• Assisting with health, hygiene and general safety and wellbeing of children
• Comforting and supporting children who are likely to be distressed during lessons which they feel are challenging

The Successful candidate:

• Have a good standard of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
• Build up positive relationships with pupils
• Develop good relationships with the people they work with
• Understand how children develop, think and learn
• Be able to manage groups of children
• Experience in a similar role
