My client school is currently seeking a highly motivated, resilient and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

Your role will mainly involve supporting young people within the specialist ASD/ESBD resource provision within the school, a school that has 90+ students on roll from the ages of 11-18 years old. All classes are very well supported, with 1 teacher and at least 2 TA's, your role will sometimes also involve taking the young people out for daily activities within the local area as well as spending time within the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in groups.

As part of the schools drive to promote teaching & learning, to challenge pupils and raise attainment they are specific on the individual they are wishing to attract. You will have experience working with young people who have SEN, a calm temperament with a passion for special needs and supporting ASD/ESBD pupils. The young people within this school do range from moderate to severe and can present challenging behaviours so an ability to work with challenging behaviours and to be resilient to challenging behaviours is desirable.
