SLT for Kids has an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with experience in SLD, PMLD, and dysphagia to join our team on a full time or part-time basis.
SLT for Kids is part of the Tx Group, a privately owned network which provides specialist therapy and educational support services in the North West of England. We offer a specialist service to children and young adults ranging from the ages of 0-25, who are experiencing complications with swallowing, oral motor or sensory feeding difficulties, or transitioning from fluids to oral feeding. We provide a supportive outpatient service that offers 1:1 treatment, group therapy and advice for those who are seeking treatment.
SLT for Kids adopts a multidisciplinary team approach, working alongside Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Physiotherapists to achieve fast and effective results for children and their families in overcoming their problems. This specialist role will involve work in our Feeding Clinic with babies, children and young people who have swallowing and oral motor difficulties. The role will involve assessment and treatment of clients, including those with severe / profound and multiple learning difficulties. Treatment is most likely to occur on a 1:1 basis however some group therapy / training may be applicable, especially when working with parents, carers and other associated professionals.

The Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Bsc (Hons) Speech & Language Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Must have completed the dysphagia competency framework

They will be personable in nature, have a patient centred approach and a professional attitude. The successful applicant will be confident working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will be responsible for prioritising and organising their own workload appropriately and will possess a strong foundation of verbal and written communication in order to facilitate the delivery of the highest quality service to our clients. They will also demonstrate commitment to their own professional development.
